Holi Celebration @ JOES
Holi is a major Hindu festival of colors, love, and spring. It celebrates the love between the deities Radha and Krishna. Additionally, the day signifies the triumph of good over evil, as it commemorates the victory of Vishnu as Narasimha over Hiranyakashipu.
We are excited to bring Holi celebration to school this year again!
When: April 24, 2026 after lunch recess
What to expect: Washable and hypoallergenic will be thrown below the neck or upwards in the sky outside in the yard. We recommend not wearing your best clothes to school or bring an old t-shirt to put on regular clothes.
A permission slip will be provided if you would like your student to opt out of this activity.
Volunteers Needed: We need 8 volunteers to help distribute color packets to students, yard supervision, and help students clean off before they head back in (12pm - 2pm on 4/24)
