Monthly Mug: On the last Tuesdays of every month, we ask the JOES Community to contribute something to show their love and appreciation to the staff in the form of goodies of any sort!

We highly encourage you to join us for our Welcome Event! The school will be open on Saturday, August 15, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. We’ll begin together in the cafeteria before families have an opportunity to explore the school.

🍷 Wine & 🧀 cheese will be provided for the adults and there will be snacks/craft for the kids :)

Please remember to use the restroom before arriving. (The building is locked on the weekends)

JOES is happy to host our first literacy night on Wednesday, 6/03, 5:30-7:00 PM! FREE community event that will promote reading resources and strategies.

Jose Ortega is hosting our first-ever Chess Tournament, in partnership with the Mechanics' Institute! We’re also thrilled to have a special guest appearance from local Grandmaster-- Vinay Bhat!

A day celebrating diversity ending with a potluck of representing our different cultures.

We’re excited to announce the 2nd annual Jose Ortega TALENT SHOW! Whether your student loves to sing, dance, perform magic tricks, play an instrument, tell jokes, read poetry, demonstrate martial arts/gymnastics, or show off a special skill—we want to see it all!.

Imagine a School-Wide free market/garage sale. What you no longer need, you can pass on to another family, and vice versa.

Holi is a major Hindu festival of colors, love, and spring. It celebrates the love between the deities Radha and Krishna.

Washable and hypoallergenic colors will be thrown below the neck or upwards in the sky outside in the yard. We recommend not wearing your best clothes to school or bring an old t-shirt to put on regular clothes. 

Don’t miss this chance for your kiddos to play outdoors with their friends. There are bathrooms and hot showers at this campsite, so it is great for first-time campers and those that appreciate their creature comforts while camping.
